India Successfully Launches South Asia Satellite

 The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Friday successfully launched GSAT-9 or the 'South Asia Satellite' from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The satellite, that costs ₹235 crore, will provide communication, disaster management support, and connectivity to South Asian countries during a 12-year mission. Seven of the eight SAARC countries excluding Pakistan are part of the project.
