India participated in 7th RECCA Exhibition

During 7th Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA VII), a special exhibition of goods produced by Turkmen and Afghan businessmen was held in the business center ‘Mizan’ from 14-15 November, 2017. In addition, business and trading houses of several regional countries exhibited their stands. The exhibition was opened by the Head of Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Turkmenistan and the Minister of Trade and Industry of Afghanistan H. Rasav.

2. The Embassy of India in Ashgabat also exhibited a stand on India-Afghan bilateral relations. The brochure on India-Afghanistan relations was distributed during the exhibition. Videos on bilateral relations were played during the exhibition.Some other countries also exhibited their stands like Iran, Uzbekistan, China etc. Around 40 companies of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan participated in the exhibition and exhibited their products especially handicraft, carpet, food products, mining etc.

3. The wife of the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, Mrs. RulaGhani and the Minister of Trade and Industry of Afghanistan visited to our stand. The first lady of Afghanistan was very happy to see Indian stall on India-Afghan relations and she was thankful and grateful to the Government of India for cooperation and assistance provided to Afghanistan. Also a lot of visitors visited Indian stand and knew about bilateral cooperation.
